fall evening

good evening. i thought i would get a jump on posting this week, as i know i will be too busy tomorrow. so, while i'm waiting for my pasta water to boil, i'll share a little inspiration with you.

i am making the sept. 13th recipe from the kitchen diaries: an autumnal pasta supper, mushroom pappardelle. although i could not find pappardelle at my grocery, so i'm using whole wheat lasagna. i think it will still be delicious.

i have discovered some really lovely photographers on flickr lately:
ruzavizefyrai.
herraelina.

and an amazing illustrator:
favorite stories.

also check out the amazing work of dianne kornberg {via dear ada}.

well, i am off to finish making dinner and enjoying the autumn evening.

currently listening to: god save the clientele, by the clientele. at first i didn't like this current album, but now i think i love it. you have to be in the right mood. does anyone have any other musical recommendations? i am looking for something new to listen to.

fall inspiration

sorry i have been so absent this week. i didn't mean to be, life just took over. i have not had time to do much other than work and work. so, now i am happy to take the time to look at my flickr favs i have gathered over the last few weeks. some real amazing work. this first set reminds me of the end of summer. i love the tones and feeling in all of them.

1. watercolor, 2. Untitled, 3. happiness, 4. Untitled, 5. Untitled, 6. film : twirl

this one reminds me of the beginning of fall. all cozy and warm.

1. Masala chai at Sarasa Nishijin, 2. R001-019, 3. Untitled, 4. bonanza, 5. waiting for breakfast, 6. Afternoon tea

here is some more fall inspiration: some images from the fall dries van noten collection. i love these colors.

have a great weekend!

a vine grows in brooklyn

hello. i am back this week and ready to go with tons of inspiration to share.

this photo is of a vine that is growing along the cable outside my window {i'm on the fourth floor}. i'm not sure how long it has been there, i just looked outside one day and it was there.

+ i love the layout of this site and the colors they use: humanoid. i like the accessories collection the best.

+ have you seen a small collection. it is the new clothing collection from alyson fox. i also love her site. i can't wait until she has her fashion illustrations up in her shop.

that is all for now. stay tuned this week for another lets travel to... post. also take a peek at my flickr later today for a little announcement.
