the great pumpkin pie

i just found this drawing from my nephew from thanksgiving. i love the little swirl of whipped cream on the pie. so sweet.

i made a flourless chocolate cake for the first time this weekend. it was so good! and so easy to make. i used this recipe, but i used dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet. it was especially tasty with espresso gelato.

for some reason, i decided to buy bon appetite magazine this month. something about it looked different. i don't know how long ago they changed the design of it, but i have to say i was very impressed. it is definately updated from the last time i looked at it and is filled with beautiful photography and interesting articles.

i was also excited to see an article and photograph from molly {see the bottom photo above}. i am thrilled she is doing a monthly article for them!
