back to basics

i'm back from a wonderful vacation. i went to the beach in florida and it was so warm. it is going to be a little hard adjusting to these breezy temps.

but, i can't wait to get back in the swing of things here and am happy to see so many things blooming. i also can't wait to see what you all have been up to this past week...

inspired : 2

first of all, thank you so much for your supportive response to yesterday's post. it really means a lot. i am now on the official search for a new favorite mug.

once again, heather has floored me with her work. above, you can see my inspired piece from the beginning of march, and her response. i love how she sends me her pieces wrapped like a present with a bow. i guess because that's what they are. heather will be posting our other duo on her blog sometime this evening.

time for a change

so... my very favorite mug has 2 very long cracks in it. it is only a matter of time before it starts to leak and is rendered useless. i am a little heartbroken over this. this mug plays a very important part in my day. we start the day together almost every day. we have a connection, a perfect union.

i can't help but see this as a sign. i am often very resistant to change, but i think it is time. it is time to take a look at some things and make some changes. maybe i just needed a little something to give me that nudge. what will change remains to be seen. this post probably seems a little odd and may not mean anything to you, but to me it means a great deal.

this and that

i have slowly been adding images to my inspiration wire over the last few weeks. it has been pretty slow for some reason. i think it is because i am getting a lot more inspiration online these days, rather than in print. i don't know how i feel about that. technology just creeps into our lives in so many ways, whether we want it to or not. anyway, here are a few of the images i have added. i am really into bolder colors lately.

it is funny, because the bottom image was the inspiration for a recent promo card i did {hanging next to the tear}, and i did not even know it until i looked at them together. it's crazy how things work like that.

i wanted to update you on some of my collaboration projects:

inspired: heather and i will post our final inspired duos from march later this week. we will be posting our new pieces for april on the 15th.

before and after: this project is on hold for a few weeks, as nicole is having some computer woes.

i have also been feeling rather overwhelmed lately. mostly by things inside my head. shari's post today really resonated with me. shari also told me about this amazing restaurant, can't wait to visit{hopefully this summer}!

i cannot stop listening to she and him. so, so good. go buy the cd..now.

have a nice, relaxing evening. i think i will start my new book.
