hi there.

i could not resist these beautiful flowers at the market this weekend. they are so pretty. i could not help but photograph them and have added a couple new prints to the shop too.

i passed by this today in soho. i will have to try some soon!

lately i have been daydreaming in black and white. it makes everything beautiful.

i am a lucky girl.

there were so many amazing things today at the farmer's market. i can't wait to make a salad with the onions and arugula. and aren't these strawberries the cutest things you have ever seen?

and i was so lucky to come home today to these amazing edible magazines from my favorite vermontian {is this even a word?}. she is so sweet and thoughtful.

i cannot stop listening to this band. so good.

a simple recipe.

easy summer pasta:
prepare any pasta of your liking according to package directions, substituting chicken or vegetable broth for water. i usually use whole wheat.

toss with olive oil and your favorite veggies {this time i used roasted asparagus, spinach, and mushrooms}. while still warm, top with feta cheese, parmesan cheese, or any cheese you like. top with fresh cracked pepper. delicious.

a few things making me happy lately:

+ i came home today to a package full of goodies in the mail. the summer prints i ordered from target arrived. i guess you can tell what my favorite color is lately.

i have become one of those people who orders online. if i want something from target, it is basically my only option. the target in brooklyn restocks about once a month and it is always a disaster zone.

+ i have made a lot of progress on this. hopefully i'll be done this week.

+ i have been inspired lately and am working on something new for the shop.

hello there. it is time again for heather and i to post our new inspired pieces for june. this is heather's beautiful piece. she will be posting mine over here later. you should also check out heather's shop update...she has some beautiful new work for summer.

speaking of summer, holy hotness. it is kind of miserable here in nyc. it was at least 95 degrees today. ugh. lets hope for some cooler temps soon. i am scared to even think about turning on my oven. time to get some more seltzer.

wow, i am exhausted today. for no reason really. can't wait to go to sleep early tonight.

but first, i had to drop in and share this month's inspired duo. above is my original photo for may and heather's response. it is tough to photograph the detail in her piece, but i hope you can get the idea. it is really lovely in person. heather has posted her original piece and my response here. i love the way she has photographed them.

my heart wanders

hello there.

i hope everyone is having a good weekend. i just wanted to pop in and remind everyone to send in their submissions to the my heart wanders book project. it is a really fun project and i am one of the judges. the deadline for submissions is june 15, 2008.

the project was created by the talented stylist, pia jane bijkerk. see some of her amazing work here.
