lovely home.

i am sure by now many of you have seen the june/july issue of readymade magazine. if not, you should really check it out. there is a great article and photo spread on the austin, texas home of alyson fox. i have mentioned her work before, but it is definately worth mentioning again. i truely love it. i am completely drawn to her use of subtle colors and the femininity of her work. i really love how she often draws on non-traditional materials such as vintage book covers and clipboards. you can see some of her vintage book drawings in the photos above. her delicate lines remind me of another favorite artist {and friend} of mine, lisa solomon. i am so excited to hear {via design*sponge} that alyson will be showing at brooklyn collective, which happens to be right in my neighborhood. yay!

speaking of austin, it is a place i have always thought of moving. everytime i go there to visit a friend of mine, i always feel at home. i love the honky-tonk feel, the beautiful hills and lake, and the great support of independent businesses. not to mention the amazing tacos and endless outdoor margaritas and mexican martinis. the last time i was there, i discovered a great store, kick pleat. i just found their website, and am loving the great selection of shoes.

speaking of shopping, over the weekend i stopped in erika tanov. it is such a beautiful store and i love seeing the work of tamara mogendorff displayed around the store.

image above from the erika tanov website.

enjoy the day.
