
i watched another episode of endless feast again last week and was so inspired. they make everything look so beautiful and tasty. a couple of things that caught my attention were a salad made with prosciutto and dates topped with pomegranate vinaigrette, and squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese. yum! and to sit outside and eat them under the stars with a glass of wine, perfection.
as shari mentioned, this is national farmers market week, so i think i will try to make a trip tomorrow. i would also recommend supporting restaurants that use local ingredients, like these local favs.
today a friend recommended a recipe from super natural cooking to me, the chocolate turtle bean tostadas. can't wait to try it...some of the ingredients include black beans, dark beer, and chile-infused chocolate. sounds interesting...
all this food thought has got me hungry. snack time. maybe i'll have some mango sorbet.
